Solar energy takes advantage of the sun's rays to generate heat or electricity. It is an infinitely renewable energy resource and unique for its ability to generate energy in a quiet, clean, and consistent manner. Can't beat the sun for being oh-so-cool!

In layperson terms, photovoltaic cells are comprised of a semiconductor material such as silicon. Added to the silicon are the elements phosphorous and boron which create conductivity within the cell and activate the movement of electrons. The electrons move across the cell when activated by the sunlight's energy into the electrical circuit hooked up to the solar panel.

A 100kW solar power system will cost approximately Rs.40,000,00. That total includes the cost for all components - solar panels, panel mounts, and inverter - and labor associated with installation.

It depends, in part, on how much electricity you use during the daytime when there is solar power generated. For a typical Commercial or Industrial establishment you can expect Payback in 3-4 Years, while for a Residence you can expect in 5-6 Years. The life of the system is 25 Years and hence there is considerable savings after the initial Payback period.

Solar photovoltaic panels require little maintenance - periodic wash with clean water to remove dust and debris.

Professional solar installers can take the guess work out of the type and size of the solar system best suited for you. Whether you are considering solar photovoltaic for industry, residence or institution, a solar pro can help you understand your needs and guide you through the process.

Depending on the capacity of the system, planning, configuring, and doing any custom ordering for your solar energy system can take up to a few weeks. However, the installation process itself can typically be completed in only a few days time, in many cases even less.

Vigor Solar has extensive experience in providing end to end Solar EPC solutions for industrial, residential and institutional solar plants in India. With its extensive network of top component manufacturers & solar dealers, we save you time, money, and headaches by providing an integrated solution. We encourage you to look around our site for all the information you need on our solar energy installations. When you're ready, all you need to do to get started is tell us about your project, and you can be assured youll receive competitive bids from the very best solar energy companies in your area.

You will need a photovoltaic array to capture the sun's energy, a solar inverter to convert the direct current (DC) produced from the photovoltaic cells into alternating current (AC) and a utility meter - called a net / gross meter - that can record both the electricity produced from your internal power system as well as any power you may use from the grid. These three system components are then connected through a series of wiring. The photovoltaic panels are secured to your roof with panel mounts. For Off Grid systems you will also need batteries to store the solar power for backup use.

Net meters look very much like other outdoor meters with one notable exception - they spin both forwards and backwards recording both the power produced and power used.

Depends on your particular needs. A backup battery bank can add as much as 25% in cost to a residential solar PV system. If you want to just save on the electricity costs then On Grid system without Battery is sufficient. If the power is unreliable and you also want backup or night time use, then Off Grid system is suitable.

There is a helpful rule of thumb for calculating a rough estimate of how much area you might need. For example, a 1KW watt system may need 100 square feet of area, depending on the type of PV module used.

The size of the photovoltaic system is correlated to your energy-use needs, available space for a system, and overall costs for the system components and installation. Please contact us for us to help you determine the best size for your solar photovoltaic system.

Shading a photovoltaic system decreases its output. Though technology has progressed considerably to reduce the negative impact of shading, it is best to avoid shading.

Take a look at the position of your site - and particularly your roof. Ask the following questions:

  • Is there good southern exposure? Orienting solar panels to the south maximizes the effectiveness of energy collection.
  • Is the exposure free of trees or buildings that could shade the panels or drop debris on them? Shading photovoltaic panels dramatically reduces their effectiveness.
  • What is the pitch of your roof? Most roofs, from flat to 60-degrees can accommodate photovoltaic panels.

Although southern exposure increases the effectiveness of a solar power system, your site may still work for solar power without having south facing exposure. Seek advice from a professional solar designer or installer to ensure success.

The location and the local climate will play into where you place and how you install your solar electric system. Wind speeds and salty air can all affect a solar array. Understanding how those inputs effect performance will determine the types of mounts or how the arrays are angled. A solar pro is likely quite knowledgeable and can help you design that works well for you

On Grid Systems (without Battery) will shut down when there is a blackout. Off Grid systems will continue to provide power during blackouts, till the extent of the battery capacity.

We conduct a complete site examination, including shade analysis, to determine whether solar is a viable solution for your location(s).

Vigor Solar evaluates the options of various technologies, configurations and selected sites to bring the best returns and savings to the solar energy project. As your trusted partner, we will listen to your needs and concerns, and identify the best solution for your facilities. A program manager will guide you through our decision process, ensuring that your needs are fully met.

Apart from normal Capex solutions where you invest in your solar plant, we also provide Build Own Operate (BOO) models for financing the project. In the BOO model, we finance, consult, design, develop, install, own, operate and maintain the solar power plant for you. You only need to provide the space and agree to a long term purchase of the generated solar power. You benefit from predictable energy prices without paying high initial capital outlays.

Because there is no capital outlay from your side, your costs to initiate a solar project are nonexistent. Our business model offers solar energy services, and you pay only for the electricity we generate. Since we only make money on the kilowatt hours used, we have a strong incentive to install highly efficient and reliable systems. And you receive fixed energy rates for the entirety of the agreement.

We work with reliable partners in the financial, technology and equipment supplier communities. Across this spectrum of industry participants, we help drive industry standards to make solar a meaningful energy resource.
